Scope of Services & Highlight
1.Policy advocacy: meeting and lobbying with members of Legco, various government bureau
submitting position papers on various social issues base on “gender mainstreaming”principle to eliminate discrimination against women in legislation and social policies. 2.Public education: to eliminate gender stereotyping by various publications, websites, roadshow and exhibition , school talk, and media exposure.3.Resource development: to enable easy access of gender equity information to the general public, we have developed “Women Resource Center”, a library for free public access. 4.Helpline on sex discrimination: to answer public enquiry regarding sex discrimination, such as the definition of sex discrimination, what kind of behaviour constitute “Sex Discrimination”, “Pregnancy Discrimination”, “Family Status Discrimination” and how to file a complain via Equal Opportunity Commission.

It is a study on anti-sexual harassment policies in the tertiary education sector. The aim of this project is to improve the written policies on anti-sexual harassment of both UGC-funded universities and self-financed tertiary institutions and to raise awareness of the significance of the Anti-Sexual Harassment Policy.
