創新計劃 Pioneer Projects 繼推行玻璃樽回收及為幼稚園和特殊學校辦綠色教育計劃,本會獲環境保護署批准營運「綠在元朗」社區環保站,為期3年,為元朗區提供回收支援服務,同時為學員提供相關工作訓練。此外,本會的匡智溝通易輔助應用程式能提升有言語表達困難學生的表達和社交能力,從而改善他們與照顧者之間的溝通。
Apart from launching the glass bottle recycling project and the new Green Education Campaign for kindergartens and special schools, the Association has been commissioned by the Environmental Protection Department to operate the “Yuen Long Green Community Station” for 3 years to collect reusable materials in Yuen Long, creating job training opportunities for trainees. Besides, the Hong Chi Communication App greatly enhances the expression and social skills of people with limited verbal abilities, thus improving the communication with their caretakers.
未來發展 Future Development 獲社會福利署批准透過原址擴建匡智松嶺村,當中包括興建中度及嚴重程度智障人士宿舍、綜合職業復康服務中心、展能中心、特殊幼兒中心,以及早期教育及訓練中心,服務更多不同年齡及程度智障人士。各全新服務單位已陸續落成及啟用,為松嶺村新增834個康復服務名額。此外,本會亦將繼續舉辦不同類型的公開活動,協助智障人士入社會。
Funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the Association has been approved by the Social Welfare Department to redevelop Hong Chi Pinehill Village, giving special focus on the areas of providing hostel services for moderate and severe-grade people with intellectual disabilities, vocational training, day care centre, as well as early education and training for young children with special needs. The new units have gradually commenced service to create an additional 834 services places. Besides, the Association will continue to organize different public activities to assist people with intellectual disabilities to integrate into society.
